1.
We
highly recommend you using Ziploc bags for all your media since they can
protect your memories from dust and humidity and are relatively cheap and easy
to label. Remember that these are you family’s or organization's precious memories!!
Try your best to
label all your memories. Be careful not to damage them while
labeling.
Note:
If you prefer not to label your memories, we will easily include
your family's / organization's name alongside the type of event. For example:
"Smith Wedding," "Smith Birthday Celebration,"
"The Sharks - 2008," etc. For best results, however, we
strongly recommend that you label your memories. After all, you know
them best! Thank you.
Video Tapes: Video tapes should be
labeled in their original box or sealed in an envelope or Ziploc bag. Use the
correct labels for your video tapes if possible. If not, using masking tape will
do. Please send us your
original recordings. Do not send us a copy.
Copies of original recordings can seriously degrade quality.
Audio Cassette Tapes: Audio cassette tapes should be
labeled in their original box or sealed in an envelope or Ziploc bag. Use the
correct labels for your audio cassette tapes if possible. If not, using masking tape will
do. Please send us your
original recordings. Do not send us a copy.
Copies of original recordings can seriously degrade quality.
Photos, Slides, and Negatives: Do not write on your photos, slides, or negatives! Use an envelope /
Ziploc bag
instead and label with permanent markers. Separate and sort out your photos,
slides, and negatives into envelopes / Ziploc bags by different events, if you prefer (highly
recommended).
Photos Albums: Photo albums should be labeled inside with Post-It notes or
paper with paper clips in order to identify different sections. If the album was previously labeled by you already,
please make sure all the sections are indeed labeled correctly. Make sure not to place Post-It notes on top of
pictures, for the glue can damage them.
Framed Photos: We advise that you wrap each Framed Photo with
bubble wrap to protect the frames and glass from damage. Insert each Framed
Photo in a plastic bag.
Digital flash
cards and picture CDs: Digital flash cards and picture CDs should be labeled in an envelope or
Ziploc bag for
protection. Do not write on your flash cards! Use an envelope /
Ziploc bag
instead and label with permanent markers. Sort and organize your pictures by
different events by creating and naming folders inside your flash card / CD.
