Scan Slides with Restoration to DVD

Service includes one Data DVD. Let us scan your personal memories on any slide to a Data DVD!  The only requirement is that you have a DVD drive on your computer. Data DVDs are a great way to protect, print, edit, and enjoy your pictures for many years to come using your personal computer.

Restoration (Level I) and Digital Processing (Included): Once we receive your slides we will first remove dust by using an air duster if needed. If we encounter any dirt, a special cleanser will be used. We will then scan all your slides using a professionally designed photo scanner. Each slide is processed using the following:

• Digital ICE technology which removes dust and minor scratches from your pictures.

• Red Eye Removal (If needed.)

• Contrast and Color restoration (If needed. Great for older pictures.)

• Cropping (Removes any black border found after scanning your pictures.)

• Rotation (If needed.)

Data Storage: All your slides will be scanned at 1200-3000DPI (dots per inch), depending on size. This resolution has been found through many trials to be the best for slides. At this resolution you get great quality for your slides, the ability to upsize your prints at the photo lab, and acquire moderate file sizes. If all your slides do not fit onto one Data DVD, we will add multiple discs at no extra charge!!

Once you insert your Data DVD into your computer you will find folder(s) with the name(s) of the group of slides you have previously assigned. All your picture files will be in jpeg format.

Label: The name of your slides will be printed on the back cover of your Data DVD case and the disc as content menus. Your family's last name will also be included in these areas. For ex. "Smith Family Memories." Samples of your slides will also be printed around your Data DVD case and disc.

* If you have the same pictures on negatives, better scanning and finished results can be obtained through your negatives. Send your media accordingly.
